Good morning everyone. Im sorry to say, but the auction will not - TopicsExpress

Good morning everyone. Im sorry to say, but the auction will not be going ahead now. Due to the nasty nature of a certain person, she has reported to The Office of Fair Trading that the money I had received from previous auctions was not used to purchase an Assistance Dog. So now my Sanction to fundraise has been cancelled. While part of this is true, and I didnt purchase a fully trained dog, she has made out that there was never an intention of buying a dog for Jordan, and all monies raised was to support my lifestyle (thats funny in itself! Anybody that knows me knows that every cent I have goes on Jordan) Yes, initially when I started fundraising for Jordan, it was to specifically purchase an Assistance Dog. But then we were turned down by a few places as Jordan was deemed unable to care for or control the dog himself. A registered breeder then very generously donated a Labrador (Coco) from her stock. I jumped at the chance as I thought this was the only way Jordan was going to get his much needed dog. What I didnt realise was how hard it was going to be to train her as well as look after Jordan. The money spent on purchasing the course from a well known trainer in Melbourne, cost a lot of money and was futile, as I didnt have the time to work with her as much as she needed. I then paid for a trainer to come in weekly to help with her and she felt that my only option left was to put Coco into Boarding School. This costs $1600 per 10 days and she needs to do a MINIMUM of 3 levels. And this is just to get her basic training and obedience ingrained into her. After that she has to do all her public access testing with a trainer and the pass all certification. It is ending up costing me a lot more to do it this way. This lady has also told Fair Trading that I received well over $10,000 in donations. This again, is not true. Just over $9000 was raised over the course of the year and all monies have been used towards Coco and her training and costs. While I can apply for another sanction to fundraise, I no longer want to. I will find other ways to try and afford to get Coco trained. I dont want to feel judged and be made out to be a criminal again. Its hard enough raising a special needs child without nasty people feeling the need to denigrate you in public and through Government and Legal channels. So now I need to ask - to everyone that has donated items towards the auction, would you like me to return them? I need to know as soon as possible please. Any that dont, I will be turning the auction into an Online Garage Sale which I am legally entitled to do, and selling the items that way. I will wait for 24 hours to hear back from everyone, and then go from there. Sorry for the LONG post, but I need to get this sorted. I am trying to be transparent with you all, but its hard to know what to say when Im hearing from personal friends what this lady and her band of friends have been saying. If you feel that I have mislead you in any way, I am sorry. I havent, but I know people are quick to form their own opinions. I am still determined that Coco will be an Assistance Dog, but I will find another way to do it, without holding another auction. Please let me know ASAP what you would like me to do with your items donated to the auction. Thank you. ❤️
