Good morning family relatives friends acquaintances and strangers today I am talking about: ( claiming the promises) In the newspaper and then television we often hear of people who are entitled to claim inheritance that belong to them but they do not know about them. In these cases, the ones who are holding the inheritance do not have a way to get in touch with the beneficiaries who deserve to receive what is coming to them because the beneficiaries cannot be located. The problem is a lack of knowledge, a lack of understanding. This is often true of believers as well. The un searchable riches of Christ are available to each of Us , but unfortunately some folks dont realize that these riches are available to us. Like the people who have inheritances awaiting them, they are unable to lay claim to what is rightfully theirs because they do not know that it is there privilege to do so. When the beneficiaries of the unknown inheritances discover what is rightfully theirs, they rejoice with great excitement, and often they stop whatever theyre doing in order to go and claim their unexpected blessings. They feel as if they won a sweepstakes, and sometimes there inheritance changes almost everything in their lives. The same kinds of things happen when believers discover their inheritance as children of the king. Knowing in trusting Gods promises changes everything in our lives. Paul, when he prayed for the Ephesians, outline our inheritance as follows: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the Saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us toward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power (Eph.1:17-20). Our rightful inheritance as believers in Jesus Christ includes the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God, enlightened spiritual understanding, the hope of this calling, the riches of His glory, and exceeding greatness of this power. These are hours to claim. When the realization of the extent of this inheritance dawns up on us, it causes us to rejoice with Paul who wrote, blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Eph.1:3). All spiritual blessings in Christ are already ours! All we have to do is to lay claim to them , and we do this through prayer.
