Good morning fine folks happy Sunday Im not to text savy and Im on my daughters Facebook so please bear with me I am responding to a recent post of my Aunt Jemima costume and all the feedback it started out quite fine I felt quite cared for and very grateful for the positive upbeat comments and then something happened someone took offense and that made me feel bad. I am humbly sorry to you who took offense Im sure you did not get the idea if my costume you see I have grown up in a fine community but it know what it feels like to be marginalized I have grown up different than the average because I carried 200 extra pounds around with me most of my life and then I have a daughter who feels quite marginalized often because of her overweight and her Down syndrome thats tough so please understand I would NEVER attempt to degrade anyone for who they are I am very proud to say I have many friend from many backgrounds and cultures so please understand my intent was not to hurt anyone it was to celebrate the life of a wonderful black lady whom I admired ask a little child who they would like to be for Halloween and I betcha it will be their hero . I thank all if you who understood my intent those of you who I serve on a regular basis and who make my job so much fun
