Good morning folks and welcome to a brand new week. To start off, Environment Canada has issued a Heavy Fog Advisory for the Capitol Region. Visibility is expected will be significantly reduced and even zero visibility is likely. The fog will lift later this morning, so if you live in, or are driving to the Edmonton area, perhaps wait this one out. Currently in Edmonton, it’s -14º and -20º with the wind chill. FMM is -12º but feels more like -18º with cloudy skies and LLB is -9º with partly cloudy skies. So far so good on both Hwy 63 and Hwy 881 with no new incidents to report. I did read a few messages from last evening (as the Canucks were blowing a 3 goal lead) that there was some freezing rain in the Wandering River to Atmore areas, and that conditions were very slick. Please adjust your driving in the area. Both Hwy 63 and Hwy 881 are in FAIR winter driving condition and both roads have compact and slippery sections, again, please adjust your driving and do not forget to turn your lights on. That’s all for this morning folks, I’ll update if and when needed. Stay safe, drive to the conditions and remember… Someone is expecting you home tonight. KCCO highway63roadreport
