Good morning friends. I hope you had a great day yesterday, I know that I did. In the last 10 months I have spoken to a lot of people affected by the storm. I meet them everywhere. It is like we have homing devices on our foreheads now. If you are in Home Depot( my second home) it is obvious by their shopping cart. If you are in any other store you can just tell by their demeanor. When people are shopping they are usually carefree and happy. The people buying things for their homes that were ruined by Sandy are different. They are stressed to the point of tears. Long lists of everyday items that everyone has in their homes and we have to replace every single thing. From the walls to the electrical sockets. This is all money that none of us have. We make a thousand phone calls and until we lose our cool they are not responded to. For a lot of us our work is at a stand still waiting for the mortgage company to give us our money. Is it frustrating? Yes! How do I get through it? I hug my girls. I thank God everyday for all 4 of them. I worry though for the people that do not have what I have. Their are a lot of angry and sad people out there. If you know someone in this situation reach out to them. Bring them a pot of coffee or in my case vodka! Lol! Chocolate always helps too. I know that I rambled this morning and this was a tough one to write so thank you for listening to me. Take care of each other. Have a great day. I love you all!
