Good morning friends. I start the day off humbly with a quote; In the end, its not the years in your life that count, but the life in those years. -Abe Lincoln. Yesterday I learned that a beautiful wife, mother and sister passed away. This video post is specifically dedicated to Marc Elliot Bond in memory of his wife & best friend, Melissa Taylor Bond. I certainly did not know Melissa the way he did; I met her briefly through Nikki Pontiff Rabalais when she was working tirelessly for her daughter Graycen to get a heart transplant. I moved away to Thibodaux with my son so was unable to attend the gala, but kept up with Marc, Melissa and Graycen through Facebook. In the moments I met Melissa I have never been so inspired by a selfless, tireless, hardworking yet hopeful woman. I saw that despite lifes struggles, there was still opportunity for joy; and more importantly, love. Melissas earthly journey has ended, but her spirit lives on until you meet again in Heaven. My thoughts, prayers and condolences are with you and your family during this time of grief. May you find some peace in song.
