Good morning friends. Thankful for a goodnight sleep. For those interested in my travel musings.... Made it to the airport in plenty of time for our flight this afternoon. Of course, I AM starving!! I love to fuel my body with good food first thing..... Oh boy!!! Weve found an even neater cafe from yesterday. We can actually sit down at a table for two... This thing in the middle of the table is forcing me to place my order. Forcing me to be non-communicative with personnel rushing around like robots delivering food to tables with barely a smile. Barely a hello... Making it even difficult or awkward, I should say, to communicate with Linda Tanner sitting right across from me. I think I would rather have a nice tall, full vase of flowers blocking our view if something HAS to be sitting in the middle of our table... It reminds me of childhood days when I shared a bedroom with 2 of my brothers. We would draw a line to prevent each other from stepping into the others space....thats sorta what that iPod feels like, sitting there... Oh well, its where our future is headed, like it or not. Gotta roll with it... (Wish this waitress would come clear my dishes from the table.. Wonder if I should tell this thing in the middle of the table to tell her....what would it cost me?! Hopefully it is included in the 30 bucks I just paid for a bowl of oatmeal, bacon and latte.) Linda just reported, Charleston just got posted on the departure screen. Everything so far looks like a go for a 12:25 take off..... Everyone, enjoy your day. Smile & say hello to someone, everyone you see. These days, I fear will be gone before we know it.... Ill be back later. Im going to walk out in the terminal to stretch the legs. When I return here to ramble some more, I want to talk about my cab driver (from Morocco) this morning. Delightful guy & very communicative. We enjoyed him. Also, I will rant a bit about the hotel industry and how they are allowed to gouge price us at any given time. I think they are assholes too.
