Good morning friends, relatives, co - workers and all, this morning from the sands of Abu Dhabi I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.....he is great and so good Been under the weather this past days and still feeling awful, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr this stomach bug is wrecking my schedule and the headache. joints and body pain is keeping me down.......................but his message to me this morning still triumphs ......and I share it with you all.....be blessed and stay blessed.... The Good Shepherd The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out. - John 10:3 Theres a huge difference between the care an owner gives and the care that comes from a servant or hired hand. Theres also a difference between the way a mother looks after her child and the way a babysitter does it. The difference is seen especially when the child is sick or in danger. The babysitter works for an hourly wage, the mother serves for love. Christ the Good Shepherd is the owner of His sheep. There is something very profound in the realization that Christians are Christs own. It suggests how important we are to Him. “Having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.” The thought also brings with it the assurance of love and care. His will is that “his own,” shall be with Him in heaven forever. The thought also suggests how much we owe to Christ. If we are“his own,” He has the entire right to the disposal or our lives and our services. There is something very wonderful when we realize that Christ calls His sheep by their individual names. There are some Church pastors who do not know the people in their church by name when they have only a few hundred. Christ has millions scattered over all the world and it is amazing to think that He knows each and every one personally by name. The Bible tells us that He calls the stars by their names, but then the stars are so big that it does not seem that strange. Somewhere in the world is a poor widow, one of “his own,” living in a miserable hovel in the heart of a great city, amid thousands of other people. Does He know her name? Somewhere in the world is an orphan child, one of “his own,” left with no human friend to protect. Does He know this little one? Certainly He does. This ought to be a very precious truth to everyone who loves Christ and belongs to Him. He knows if any of “his own” are suffering or in need, or if they are in danger; and He will never neglect even the least of “his own.”
