Good morning good people! Allow me this morning to throw spanner into works. Me thinks there is some iota of truth in the theory of the Westagate attack being stage-managed.... and why sayeth i so? After watching both Jicho Pevu and the inside story yesterday (by the way, the inside story may have been juicier), there are many questions that have left me smelling a rat! For example, the real number of attackers - at least from what we saw on the CCTV footages were four (unless some parts of Westgate didnt have CCTV cameras or they were not working at the time - of which we havent been told!) If that is the case, why would the minister of interior insist on the terrorists being between 10 - 15 until the last minute? (remember, he must have said this after watching the CCTV footages himself, or at least his security personnel had done so)..... and why would the president categorically state that 5 terrorists were killed in a national TV address to the public?...... or maybe he was misled by the security forces! Another burning issue is, it is clear the RECCE squad had taken control of the situation by around 4 pm that Saturday before the KDF arrived.... and from the manner in which they entered the building (compared to KDF) they looked more professional - and for this I salute them! That being the case, why did someone find it necessary to bring in KDF who with all due respect, did nothing significant apart from looting and firing fellow security personnel?(read RECCE squad) ... Do you think the KDF werent briefed about the presence of RECCE squad in the mall?..... that i highly doubt!!!!!!!!.... and if that is the case, dont you think there was a hidden agenda? Me thinks this was intended to create a stalemate! .... which brings me to the question what did the KDF know about the attack? Third, it is clear from the footages that the thugs left the building at 11.54 pm - almost midnight of the same Saturday. If this is the case, who was being shot at the whole day Sunday and part of Monday?.. Was this meant to hoodwink the general public? Who was burning matresses - remember that famous press conference by Ole-Lenku?.... dont mind the place where the smoke was coming from was actually miles away from NAKUMATT itself - (read the parking lot) did the terrorists - who had in fact already left by this time (atleast according the the footages), carry matresses in order to burn them outside in the parking lot?.... and if they did this, where were KDF at this time as we know a whole battalion was in fact inside the mall? Who blew up the building yet the terrorists had left? .... and was it necessary? These are the hard questions that must be answered..... and with this, i agree, a commission of inquiry is a must! We must unravel the truth and take people to account!!!!!!!!
