Good morning, happy Saturday! One last summer-like afternoon with temperatures soaring into the mid 80s under a partly to mostly cloudy sky. There will be enough instability in the atmosphere today to fire a few thunderstorms in the morning and afternoon hours. I think our storm chances will go up as we head into the late afternoon early evening hours. The "main event" will be tomorrow, however. We are tracking a powerful cold front out west, and expect it to move through tomorrow afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the front for Sunday late morning, and will slowly push through the tristate. Storms will remain scattered through the evening hours before tapering off Monday morning. The potential for very heavy rain is likely with these storms. 1-3 inches of rain is possible, with higher amounts west of Cincinnati. Watch for ponding on the roads and minor flooding. Temperatures should reach the mid to upper 70s on Sunday and then drop through the evening hours. By dinner time I expect temperatures in the mid 60s.
