Good morning heres a WTSA news update Vermont State Police have identified the people involved with a murder suicide in Townshend. Police say 26-year-old Shane Brodeur shot 20-year-old Katelyn McFadden and then shot himself. Police say the pair were in a relationship, and Brodeur had called 9 1 1 before the shooting occurred. State police are continuing to investigate the case. The long awaited milling and repaving of Western Avenue in Brattleboro will take place tonight, if the weather permits. Crews plan to do the while job in one night, with flaggers handling alternating one way traffic beginning at 6 p m. You should expect delays. Crews are also expected to complete paving on Birge, Chapin, Grove and Guilford Streets Monday. Four Democratic Candidates for state senate in Windham county spent 90 minutes answering voter questions last night. It was the fourth such meeting for Becca Balint, Joan Bowman, Roger Allbee and Jeanette White during the past month. The event in Brattleboro was taped for telecast on Brattleboro community t v beginning this evening. Vermont’s primary elections are scheduled Tuesday. Police are seeking the publics help in tracking down whoever is responsible for shooting out the windows of over a dozen vehicles in New Hampshires Cheshire and Sullivan counties. Police say the damage is estimated to be over $3,000. The towns affected Wednesday include: Walpole, Alstead, Acworth, Newport, and Croydon. A BB gun or pellet gun was used to shoot out the windows. Police are looking for a vehicle with a loud muffler/exhaust, possibly an older model 4x4or pickup truck. Brattleboro police continue to seek a man involved with striking four other cars in a Putney Road parking lot Wednesday night. The motorist fled on foot before police arrived, and there were no reported injuries. A New Hampshire man has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit investment adviser fraud and securities manipulation and has reached a $600,000 settlement with the state. Prosecutors say Charles Howard III of Jaffrey and his wife, Carolyn Howard, operated as unlicensed investment advisers and broker dealers, trading investors online accounts. Prosecutors said Charles Howard, who was previously convicted in federal court in Massachusetts and New Hampshire in unrelated cases, didnt disclose that he was subject to a lifetime bar from the securities industry. He awaits sentencing on a recommended seven-to-20-year sentence. Carolyn Howard pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of acting as an unlicensed investment adviser and was sentenced to a year in jail, all deferred, conditioned on her cooperation with the states ongoing investigation.
