Good morning, miss you all a bit. Its been a terrific few days, have a serious mess in my backyard that needs to be tended, dead branches everywhere and one dead tree (grounds to wet to mess with right now). According to my neighbor, NC hasnt seen this type of weather mess since he came here in 1985, so its a real treat for the NCers to get a taste of what you guys in the northeast get practically every years. :) Here are some pics (especially, for you guys who live in the south and missed this stuff), that collected on the trees and surrounding areas in my backyard. Pretty awesome. Most have that glittering ice buildup of 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Some of the trees were swaying a good 20 degrees in both directions with a few snapped in between. As for the rest of the neighborhood, trees down everywhere, going to be a while before they get this place back to normal. We had over 350,000 outages, hopefully 90% restored by now. Imagine, I had to drive at least ten miles just to find food. Lost all the food in the Refrig. Good thing was that yesterday, I cooked on the barbie, that extra hour kept the lights on long enough to eat without candlelight. :)
