Good morning my friends. Well, I’m still trying to get back on schedule and that’s hard to do when you don’t have any hot water. So, I suppose that I will once again to be heading to our daughter’s house for a warm shower before heading for work. I don’t know who invented the water heater, but the boy did a good thing. One doesn’t know how much one misses things until they are taken away without a moment’s notice. We tend to take so many things for granite these days. Just think about our ancestors and the founders of this country…those people in the hallowed halls of government back then didn’t take warm baths everyday like we do in these modern times. Just think about it…we think congress stinks now; I wonder how it smelled in the 1800s. I hope you all got to see the little segment of me on WTVI last night. It was on the tail end of the show, Carolina Impact. It took most of the day to film the ten-minute moment of air time. It would have been a whole lot better if I had not looked so much like me. I looked like I had fallen out of an ugly tree and hit every limb on the way down. I think I had better start staying behind the camera from now on instead of in front of it. Don’t forget to mark your calendars for our annual Open House on Sunday afternoon, November the 23rd. We hope to have a big kick-off for the new children’s book, “The Perfect Christmas Eve.” Our friend and illustrator of the book, Jean Barlow will be on hand, too. Be sure to come by and meet this talented lady. We also expect to have a couple of Santa’s little helpers there, too. And, if you can’t wait until then to purchase the new book and coloring books, they are supposed to arrive on Friday. Be sure to get yours early for the little grandkids and let me personalize them for your favorite grandchild. I hope you all will get out and enjoy the wonderful sunshine and be sure to give thanks for each moment of life. Every moment cannot be a perfect moment or we would never appreciate them when they come along if we didn’t have a couple of not-so-good ones spread around. Pray for one another and yourselves…if you’re like me you ain’t perfect. God Bless!!
