Good morning on this sunny Thursday. I know that it is still cold out side, as evidenced by the fuel company’s bills. However the wind is not as biting as it was yesterday. When I was walking to the bank yesterday I felt the cold. By the time I had reached Bridge Street my eyebrows were hurting. I decided that I had enough of the cold and I sought refuge in the building formally know as Baystate West (mallsofamerica.blogspot/2006/03/baystate-west-mall.html ). These cold days are the only time I take advantage of the aerial walkways in downtown. I recall that at the time they were proposed, my father was against them. He thought that they were ugly, breaking the sightlines to some of the beautiful historic buildings in downtown. His other objection was that they kept people off of the streets. His belief was that pedestrians were an important part of a thriving city. I agree with my father, but I do appreciate being comfortable as I go to the bank. Our soup today is Chicken Broth Italian Style. The specials are a Liverwurst Sandwich with Sliced Red Onions, Meat Balls with Fresh Mushroom Sauce or Deep Dish Chicken Pot Pie. For dessert we have Chocolate Pudding or a Cake to be named latter. See you on Fort Street,
