Good morning, peeps! As we get our boots out and prepare to walk old Nellie and the Junior Shopkeeper to school, were mindful of a big day - and week - ahead. This weeks basement overhaul went beautifully (we got er done!), and we think youll be pleased as punch with all of the goodies that hit the floor during this two day project: many of our bins and buckets received replenishment in the form of added bits and pieces... our vintage postcard, map and hardware collections were particularly blessed, and we have all sorts of new-to-you smaller-sized prints out and ready to be explored (framed?), as well. Weve got two different free evening events on the docket this week: First, our usual Thursday evening (free!) Artist-In-Residence session will feature decoupage candle jars... https://facebook/events/1538362946376472/ Friday evening, our In Recovery series session (wherein we layer something beautiful atop something not-so-attractive for the sake of making the piece worth having) will be led by Jenni Mueller of aVintageParcel. Jenni will be using Junkets chalk paint kit and some of our leftover shop paint to improve a batch of damaged, dated, and otherwise unattractive frames.
