Good morning sir, Chairman of Council of State. Sorry to bother - TopicsExpress

Good morning sir, Chairman of Council of State. Sorry to bother you at this troubling times when you are busy figuring out how to advise our son, His Excellency the President, on ways to salvage our current challenges. However its been a very long time since you heard from us. Today we are writing to you to offer a short advice to pass on to our son. Times are hard so we shall go straight to the point to save time. We have been hearing a lot going on about economy, economy and people wanting to come and occupy his office. We, here in the village, dont know much about economy but we know a lot about history and we want history to be his guide. As a young man, born after independence he would not have heard this statement from Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, but he would have been told about it. However we were witnesses to all that happened leading to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah saying that if he knew Ghanaians wanted milk and honey, he would have let that flow in their taps. We want you to remind our son of this statement and ask him to take a lesson from it to change his governing strategy. He has to balance his development and manifesto strategy with the milk and honey issues. Every day we hear his people all over the place counting, without ending, developmental projects going on in the country. Even we in the village see them but some Ghanaians have never had the patience to wait for the fruits of infrastructural developments. He should therefore suspend all such projects and balance them with the honey and milk or the bread and butter issues now. No child can appreciate or understand the fathers efforts at providing them a decent accommodation when they are hungry. They wouldnt listen to him. Therefore theres a lot he can do to make this balancing act happen. We will give a few here. 1. Invite all Forex bureau operators to Peduase Lodge - Senchi is too expensive; with Peduase lodge they can all come back to Accra and sleep and eat from home. Invite the Governor of the BOG and let them tell him how to control the exchange rate difficulties. They know how it can be done from experience not from books. 2: Call the traders, importers etc to tell the Minister of Finance how he can control inflation and collect more taxes. They know it better from the field not in books. We dont want to take too much of your time because the TUC is breathing heavily over your shoulders. Our last point: Collection of all stolen money should be his priority. He can contact the Capt at UT bank he will show him how. He should also take off from his administration anyone he SUSPECTS to have stolen money. No proof required; after all corruption to a larger extent is perception. Yes, he should also not forget Papa Jays statement of greedy bastards. A lot of your people are too greedy and as such no one is prepared to offer them any advice or support. Imagine a greedy DCE who does not get the support of his technical men. They will ditch him and hence indirectly you. Some of those making noise as middle class are doing so because they are peeved. We are not talking here about coming together to steal from the national coffers, we are talking about general participation in governance for the general good of all. We may be sounding like instructing rather than advising but we are getting to a point where his skin will tighten him as we say in Gonja and we dont want that to happen. Yes, the other day we heard our next door neighbours went and did something, something with a certain spiritualist but we dont want to believe in those things. But all the same we shall investigate that for what it may be worth and if they want to go that way we know what to do. Allah above is higher than all. We are still in discussion and he will hear from us again shortly. We pray for his success. Snr. Highcost Signed on behalf of the family head
