Good morning with my new Gasteria and haworthia cymbiformis leaf - TopicsExpress

Good morning with my new Gasteria and haworthia cymbiformis leaf propogation results . Most of the Gasteria species are very easy to propagate. Rip the healthy leaf from the plant ( bigger is better ) . Unlike sempervivum propagation , gasteria can be planted 30% under soil vertically for better results . Between from a week to 4 weeks roots will be formed , pull the leaf out and plant them with 15% under the soil with same medium. Note - soil should be moist and not wet throughout the process . Gasteria in the pic is just a week and half old , with red soil , home made compost , and perlite . Most Howorthias are bit hard to propogate by leaves( though its not impossible) , but h.cymbiformis can be done with the normal leaf propagation. H.cymbiformis in the pic is producing multiple heads Most importantly , this is rite a season to propagate ( for chennai climate ) * I dont use root hormone
