Good news. Hoosier survived Heartworm treatment and is home with her foster mom. Maggie Mae the dachshund mix is spending her first night with her foster parents. And Sasha is safe and spending the night in a temporary home. Sasha is in really really bad shape. The ***** shelter left her torn nail and wounded paw for a month - now there is a massive infection. Thank goodness her new mom is willing to treat and when she is well enough 2nd Hand will be paying for the nail removal. Thank you Homeward Bound too for helping and taking her to the vet and never giving up on these old dogs. Together - all of us - make a difference!
