Good news and bad news seems to come together for us here in Philippines. Glad to find out that Mailyns family were spared from the 7.2 earthquake that hit Bohol and Cebu and killed over 70 people today and feel terrible for those who have lost loved ones and for the families of people still missing in the rubble. Good news we managed to get, for a price, and or the third time, our flights transferred to 24th October ( but for a huge price)in the perhaps misguided hope that we will pass the seminar and be allowed to leave the Philippines for NZ, but, bad news in waking up to find a huge tennis ball sized lump in my armpit and coughing up blood. But good news on the hotel sending me to their doctor even on a national holiday who diagnosed a lump under my armpit ( funny, worked that one out myself doc) and grade 2 pneumonia ( or basically in his speak, a relapse of Dengue, yet gain, bugger it). Shoved a bunch of anti Bs into my arse, told me to rest and not to stress too much ( of course not Doc!) gave me enough pills for me to rattle like a snake on viagra for a week, told me some silly jokes about his brother working in Christchurch; then the bad news, billed me holiday rates, all with a lovely smile on his face. Still, at least Im sick!!!
