Good news from Andys walk from staunch Republicans who voted for me. They are voters who went to Ws inauguration in 2004. In spite of the good news, I have decided to group my rants into threes. ******! received the pictured slick postcard addressed to me in my official capacity-Honorable. There is big money behind school CHOICE that is defunding our traditional neighborhood PUBLIC schools. My question-if PRIVATE schools receive TAXPAYER $$$$ would not more accountability be required? A more valid study would have been to compare requirements for traditional PUBLIC schools vs. private, often for-profit schools. *****Then I received a hateful letter from Sheriff Joe with my named spelled incorrectly. *****The gruesome third is the very misguided Letter to the Editor in todays Arizona Daily Star entitled Spending more wont fix education. The writer complains that education funding has increased three fold since 1976. Gee I remember 1976. In 1976, I purchased my first home, It cost $32,000.today it is listed $265,387, 8.29 fold increase. NEA supports more Democrats than Republicans because Democrats support PUBLIC education, I hope supporters of PUBLIC education respond to this misguided man.
