Good night! I had another awesome day! Learn a lot of Cree Syllabics from Pro Bonaise, but need to learn more. Never stop learning at any age. I also did a short talk on Cree Root words what me and our Elder learned in Onion Lake two weeks ago. Whatever who can do to help with the language and help our students learn it. Since our Eagle Staff was stolen, we are praying it returns but if it doesnt we will rely on our Elders to direct us once again. Two days ago, my co-worker, Glenda Wahobin and other students saw 6 0r 7 Eagles flying around our school, today, with the right protocal I asked an Elder, what does that mean? She said, they know its missing and want it back in the school. An Eagle feather is sacred to our culture, I remember my dad telling his story, how Old man, Moosomin gave him one, when he left to the army. When he was taken Prisoner of War with the Germans, they took it away. Years, afterwards, when he came back from the war, an envelope came, here, that same Eagle feather was in there. The first sun dance he attended with my late mom, he hung that Eagle feather on the post, he told me, early in the morning, he heard an Eagle flying close by and took that Eagle feather. He said, the old man told me, this Eagle feather will protect and bring you back, how true that was with Gods help he said. Because Eagles are the only creatures that can soar high in the heavens. I never forget stories, my dad shares with us! Just thought I would share this story.
