Good thing I am not a drinking woman! I dont usually vent, but, We have been working short staffed for a month and a half. If you have experienced someone with dementia or physical limitations, add 25 to that number. Toss in two and on occasion 3 workers to care for them(for many that means Total Care) The dept manager keeps saying that workers have been hired, but no one has seen them.. DM arranges for 4 new residents to move in on the same day( locked unit).. She leaves at noon, never comes back,, oh yes, there was the lovely email she sent earlier in the week telling us we are going to be BUSY BUSY, but She would provide meals for the staff on Friday( today),,, our lunch of WATER Sure hit the spot,, when I left at 3, she still hadnt come back.. Morale is below Low!
