Good thing Im wearing my great big attitude today! My Alpines are still about 2 to 3 weeks away from kidding. Let them come down to the hold to give them a once over...one is missing. Go in search of her...shes down in the very back house trying to deliver a HUGE dead kid. I check things out...kids got its head back, cant move it up. Hang on sis...Ill be back in a jif! Go up to the barn, grab me a long plastic sleeve and pull out my extra layers and leave them behind. Strip down to my pink tank top, go in with my sleeve, find that head again and pull it up making sure the bottom jaw is up too. Try to give it a good pull...still not making progress. Ill be back! Back to the barn for a rope and a pry bar & some dish soap for slicky. Wrap the rope around the kid, wrap the other around my pry bar, put my boot up against her hip and lay that sucker out! My doe is of course a little gimpy in the rear after all that, but shes up, shes out in the sunlight...and after a few good flushes should be okay. Now if I could only get this stench off me! LOL I lead a glamorous life...yes maam, I sure do!
