Good to be in South Petherton tonight for the meeting on the proposed bank closure, and to hear peoples passion. I am following up my early November letter to the CEO, and trying other means behind the scenes at high level to persuade the bank to keep it open. Sorry that I had to run off early to put my daughter to bed - I would have liked to talk to people afterwards. In my view its not right that RBS should close this reasonably well-used branch, given their promise in 2011 not to close the last bank branches in towns. They especially should do that when they paid bankers bonuses last year of £588 million.
