Good to know that our elected representatives in Europe are focused on matters of global priority. This sickens me to the core when there are so many awful things happening in the world and these idiots are concerned with vacuum cleaners and hair dryers. Havent they worked out that both devices will just be used for longer times to be as effective as their higher wattage counterparts so there will be no saving in energy. Im sorry - how did we as the electorate allow this to happen? What is worse is that it means that all those who are anti Europe will jump on the bandwagon. Europe should be a force for good and such utter nonsense done away with. Rant over.
