GoodWeave, an international NGO founded in 1994 by this year’s Nobel Prize laureate Kailash Satyarthi, is one of the projects that has received support from the UN Slavery Fund in recent years: sm.ohchr.org/13oZMsm Satyarthi calls for more corporate and public engagement to deal with those responsible for enslaving children: “Everybody has a responsibility to save and protect the children on this planet.” The UN Slavery Fund provides direct assistance to victims of contemporary forms of slavery and appeals for additional donations to undertake its work.
