Goodbye Venice! Each trip is such a different wonderful, challenging, inspiring experience. I am yet again changed for being part of it, even this year as only a spectator. Such a phenomenal amount of work and effort goes into an exhibition of this magnitude and paired with its location in the largest open air museum seems to encourage and facilitate miracles, unlikely, unforgettable, often unsustainable friendships and experiences. Thank you to SMEG, especially Paul and Allen, and the Venice Architecture Biennale Australia , especially Ross Clark, for taking me on the most amazing tour of Veneto region, with trips through the factories, wineries, castles, museums and 5 star hotels. Thank you Peter Malatt for introducing me to so many amazing australians who I never thought I would speak to let alone share meals, coaches and stories with. It is so easy to get swept up in Venice however at the end of each trip home is somehow so much closer to my heart. PS Ugly babies were the topic of photographs and conversation after the castelvecchio tour so I have included a blog where you can share your captures.
