Goodness what a week and weekend! And tonight we are ending it with 24 of us attending the Pirate game! I have always loved San Rocco ... Back in the day it was at Morell Park. Growing up on Irwin St it was a prime location. My mom would put a chair out front to save a parking spot for my aunt Muff and uncle Cuppy and family who came from Baden to save them a parking spot. Sunday Dinner at my grandmothers.. I miss her San Rocco ciambelles. When my gram passed in 99 Pete and I decided we wanted to carry on the tradition. At first it was just immediate family but over the years it has grown!! Lots of family and friends who we consider family! Although in the last couple of years we have lost our parents, Mimi and Poochie, my aunt Vicki Simoni and uncle Cuppy Cappibianco. Numerous friends and extended family. Norma Ferguson. Tommy Graziani... To name a few. Weve almost lost a whole generation but time goes on and weve been blessed with a granddaughter and we continue to make new memories! Like Father Cellini said at mass. Life is a struggle but being blessed with such wonder family and friends makes the struggles alittle easier. After months of being sick i was fortunate to be able to go to Italy with some of my family , I cant say enough how beautiful it was. To go and see where my family lived and still lives was amazing. I was truly blessed. Each year the dinner grows..... Thank you to everyone who came and to those who brought such wonderful food!!! ( I have some plates here that arent mine) Thanks Diane for helping cut all those gnocchi!! Thanks to my hubby for the beautiful toast and prayer the wine from Italy was worth the trip 🇮🇹 and thank you aunt muff for sharing the limoncello you brought smuggled back. Your toast was beautiful. Im just happy to be here to enjoy all of this!!! Until next year.....Viva San Rocco🇮🇹❤️🇮🇹
