Anyway I have just received a beautiful prayer this morning from one of my mentors in East London ..Enjoy. “Father, I come before you this morning knowing that you care for me and my family. As I set my heart on seeking Your kingdom and Your righteousness, I ask you simply to put the food upon our tabletoday, provide any clothing we may need, the petrol we need for our vehicles, and give me the where-with-all to share with others around me are struggling to survive.. Where you bless me financially, help me to always keep in mind that this is not for me to live a life of luxury but to make me a channel of blessing to others. Lord, I thank you for my home and family and lay them before You this morning as a “sweet smelling sacrifice.” You know our needs – the school fees that must be paid today, the light and water bill that is due, the new tyre I need for my car – and as I share these with You today please help me to once again appreciate the wonder of knowing You as “my heavenly Father”, the One who cares for me!I acknowledge too that my job is just another part of Your caring and providing for us and I commit myself to serving my employer as I would serve You and treating my employees as my Master in heaven treats me.Teach me to trust You daily for everything I and my family need, rather than relying upon my resources or abilities, always seeking to glorify You,“the God who holds my breath in His hand and owns all my ways.” Dan.5:23
