(Gordon) YOUNG COUPLE FOUND SHOT DEAD NEXT TO BOTTELY ROAD Desireé Rorke 2014-08-08 A double shooting on the Bottelary Road claimed the lives of a young couple on Wednesday night. Colonel Tembinkosi Kinana from the provincial police’s media office said Kraaifontein police officers responded to a complaint and arrived on the scene of murder at 23:00. “On the scene they found two people, a man and woman, with gunshot wounds on their bodies. The man died on the scene and the women a few hours later in hospital. They also found a white Honda Ballade stationary in the yellow line on the side of the road,” he said in a statement to TygerBurger. The vehicle was standing between Kuilsrivier Golf Club and Hazendal Estate. “Both victims are believed to be in their late twenties,” he said. According to Kinana the motive for the incident is currently unknown. Police are however investigating a murder case. No arrests have been made.
