Gorgeous! That’s the first word you can think of when you see 2 year old Lana! Hard to understand why nobody came to get this sweetheart out of that cage at Brooklyn ACC. During her initial medical, she was very sweet, allowing all petting and handling. She has a mammary gland that may require a good vet looking at it. Of course, by now Lana has caught that shelter “cold”! And during her behavioral assessment, well, the assessor used words like “calm” “sociable” “relaxed” when being handled. She did not like that hand in her food dish and did not like anybody touching the rawhide. And she wasn’t sure what to make of that strange dog that came in—was it coming to steal her food or her rawhide? She had no way of knowing. But overall, ACC’s only caveat was that she might be a bit strong for young children. And what’s their plan—well she’s on tomorrow’s euthanasia list. Surely someone out there wants this fantastically beautiful young dog in their home! Surely someone out there understands that once she doesn’t have to worry about where her next meal is coming from, she’ll relax. But that someone needs to understand how scared and confused Lana is right now. Are you that someone? Speak up to foster or adopt Lana—tomorrow will be too late and Lana will be gone!
