Put on the full armor of GOD, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of GOD,so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. STAND FIRM then, #with the Belt of Truth buckled around your waist, (your garment would be held in place, your nakedness would be covered, and you will not be ashamed). #with the breastplate of Righteousness in place, (the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of right standing/right doing. Any right standing with GOD that doesnt culminate into right Doing is false). A true believers Passion is righteousness. #with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. (Jesus is Peace, but He is not a pacifist; He said He has come to bring war...on the other hand, Satan is the warring destroyer, who will appear on the global scene as the needed man of peace). Pursue peace always with all men, for the wisdom that is from above is first peaceful. However, nothing brokers peace in certain conditions better than war. #In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. (Faith is the surest defence, without which no man can please GOD). This faith is a total and completely relentless Trust in GOD not withstanding whatever happens good or bad. #Take the helmet of salvation, (a believer must be conscious of their salvation 24/7. Weve been saved by faith in Jesus Christ. Now we are citizens of Heaven, and Jesus is our Brother, we are covered, cared for, and insured in Him forever. Nothing must take away that consciousness from you. #and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (If the scriptures is your sword, and it is, what does that say of Christians who dont know the scriptures?). None of us can afford to be a weak or amateur soldier. Weve got to have a sure handle on the word, so that we wont be tossed about by every wind of doctrine cooked up in the slight of men to take advantage or dominate other men.
