Got a HUGE reality check today. Found out a person can make the same yearly income as a regular employee by choosing not to work and live off the system here in CT. That health insurance companies are more screwed up than I thought. That transgender students have been empowered today, but more important issues such as bullying, harrassment and racism has been ignored. Lastly, watched a show about unmentioned heros. Had the chance to see all the love and patience parents of disabled children give everyday. The show gave me the inside look of two families that have children with genetic disorders. As a result, I am having MIXED emotions now. Very dissappointed in the system and frustrated with health insurance companies, worried for my children going to school and feeling admiration for the unmentioned heros.
