Got a knock on the door. A seasonally atuned well dressed women asked about the house. Are you the RENTER? Yes said as if told to say it back to her, yes, I am the RENTER. I have a client who is looking to live on Corry Street. (She had a northern european accent.) This house has been on and off the market. My client is seeking to buy. Oh, come in. Yes, she says, its so cold outside. I explain that owners have a leasing agent, I get her that number. I come back and explain, the basement floods, the toilet needs replacing, and the whole house needs to be lifted and resettled, now it sits at angle. Yes, they didnt sell it and have a leasing agent so not to have to take care of all the breakdowns of appliances. (Oh, no wonder they havent replaced the often clogged toilet.) Hours later, I realize that I will not live here in the fall. My future is totally open. As far as I can see anything could happen once moved toward. Kinda grounding and scary at the same time. Low rent migration, so far it is not forced, is what is next.
