Got a letter from my pal Reince Priebus at the #RNC today. Noting that I was a registered Republican as of last election day, Reince wants me to confirm my affiliation by sending in a 2015 Republican Affiliation and Renewal Confirmation Card. Hed also love for me to include a Republican Renewal Gift of any amount, to correct my status as a Lapsed Member. Sorry, but my local county clerk maintains my registration as a Republican voter, and I vote in every single election. My affiliation has zero need to be confirmed. Furthermore, there is no membership that could have lapsed. While I support and volunteer for many individual #GOP candidates, Ive never wasted one red cent by sending it to the RNC. I saw tactics like this from the Democrats last election, and I found them troubling. Practices that skirt the edge of deception and scamming will be the fastest way to make me change my registration to Independent.
