Got a lot on my mind. Thinking about what would have happened if violence against women was at the center of discourse. What happened to the ex-girlfriend of the shooter Ismaaiyl Brinsley? Why is she, like so many thousands of women, a simple line in all the articles, if their stories are told at all? What violence had she experienced before she was shot last night? What if she had access to resources before the violence escalated? Would Brinsley have gotten the much-needed mental health resources he needed? Imagine the kind of society we would have if womens lives were valued, put first....so many lives would be improved, or simply saved. Everyone mocks feminism until people whose lives are deemed valuable are lost. #BlackWomensLivesMatter #BlackLivesMatter #WOC #Feminism
