Got asked out at work this past Wednesday. By a over 65 year old man. This is exactly how the conversation went. Him:Have you been to amerigos across the bridge? Me:no Him:would you like to? Me:no...thats very polite of you but Ill have to decline. Thank you for the thought though. This is after he points out hes old enough to be my grandfather. Then while I was checking him out he mentions how hard it is for him as a bachelor because men cant take care of themselves. (Insert laughter here). Sadly this is just the most recent incident like this. And it gets worse around this season. I wont lie its difficult and it gets annoying to be getting oogled at by some men that sometimes even have their families with them. Its not flattering its not even sweet. Its uncomfortable. Its hardest because its your job to stay in that area of the store. its your job to see if they need anything and check them out if needed. And sometimes you dont think people will consider it a big deal because youre a little uncomfortable so theres not much for you to do in the situation. Im by no way saying all men do this and Im simply sharing an incident and saying that its difficult for women in retail. The women I work with have stories either similar or worse.
