Got back yesterday from a trip to Dallas. Had a great visit with Evan and Pam and their three dogs...Bama the watchdog slept with me....its like she had to keep an eye on Grandma....Whinnie cuddles next to Evan and Fiona snuggles up to Pam....its nice when you go on vacation and still have pet therapy. RaiLee changed so much in a week...her new thing is a little shrug with the shoulders...you ask her a question and she shrugs...dont know where she got the idea to do that but it sure is hilarious... I was supposed to pick up Lucy at the Spa when I got back into town...but couldnt pick her up because she had been naughty....Lucys little vacation package included long walks, a toenail trim - bath - massage and teeth cleaning....however, the teeth cleaning was scheduled for tuesday morning and because she was to be sedated they did not feed her Monday night...Lucy is an old dog and she really doesnt put up with a whole lot of crap and not getting fed was a whole lot of extra crap.... So anyway....during the night she breaks out of her private room (kennel) and scrounges through the cupboards until she finds a bag of dog food....which she carefully shreds open with her dirty bare teeth until she was able to eat her fill...she greeted the staff in the morning with a hardy burp and a one day delay in the scheduled procedure... So tonight after work I picked up Lucy - she wouldnt look at me - she wouldnt talk to me - she was totally pissed....on the ride home she sat in my lap but refused to make eye contact....When she came in the kitchen she drank like a quart of water but still wouldnt look me in the eye. Still pissed....sleeping on the couch....still pissed....outside....big piss....still pissed...e on Lucy sit on my lap....nope....still pissed...its going to take a while for her to get over this....at least I had a good vacation.....
