Got home from about 5 hours of errand-running to find: a geyser where the plastic pipe to a faucet had been snapped in half; a barrel saddle rack and saddle dumped onto the barn floor; several buckets (empty) dragged out of the gated feeding area behind the barn; Happy stripped of his fly mask; and the new fly mask on Mija, which I put on her roughly 24 hours ago, hanging in shreds. Mija appears to be feeling much better. In fact, Id say shes over her hoof abscess. She wreaked this havoc to entertain herself. Looks like she broke the pipe by grabbing the hose, attached to the faucet, and pulling on it just to see what would happen. She reached over fences in several spots to accomplish these other feats. Shes such a smart, curious little mare. Took Buzz about an hour to repair the plumbing. We unhooked the hose tonight and moved everything waaaay out of her reach. Of course, we had thought we had the place pretty well secured. Wonder what shell do next?
