Got some news that really upset me untill I confirmed it here at home as something I was told in error,,,so to clear up anyones confusion,,,, Hal Douglas died today, he was a well known voice actor most notable for the in a world style promos, he narrated several films and docunentarys and I had a great deal of respect and admiration for him,, he will be missed! Peter Cullen is alive and well! Peter Cullen is an amazing voice actor and someone I have been a fan of for many years, in fact if I had gotten the chance he was the guy I wanted to be!! When you hear him you suddenly get that you have heard him all over maybe even every day, he has the greatest job in the world in that he gets to spend his days getting into a character and reading their lines for a job :) And yes when you notice the guy talking about your morning cereal is the same guy who gives the voice to Eeyore,, Monty Jack (Chip and Dales rescue rangers) ,, Eddie Spence (the real ghostbusters),,Admiral Grimmitz (Duck Tales),, Gritty Gummi (Gummi bears),,,Zandar (GI Joe),,, K.A.R.R (knight rider) ,,,King Kong (yes he did that voice too!) The Predator (the one line it speaks) and of course, Optimus Prime,, well then you can hear why Peter Cullen is my favorite voice actor and especially for people in my generation, a voice from my childhood, and a guy with the greatest job in the world!
