Got this from a participant at the street fair-- makes all the stress and sweat worth it. Not sure of the intended purpose of the International Street Fair but I will tell you one of its accomplishments. I took with me a young girl who has spent most of her life in group homes and foster care. Her world and exposure has been very small. I took home that afternoon an excited teenager who had made her first friend from another country, her first understanding of a religion that was not her own. She left bubbling over with talk about college and studying abroad, about the countries she could visit and the things she could do.
