Got to admit. Linkin Park isnt my favorite band in the world, but their music does generate a certain inspiration for drawings, and ideas. The way I see the importance or point to modern music in my mind is the sound combined by the complexity of the lyrics instead of the what the song means or what the song says. I draw on my own imaginative wellspring with this foundation. This is most certainly contrary to the majority of teens and their respective idols I have observed to this day from a mere 5 to 10 years ago. Cant say I like where the new generations of music (at least the meanings behind the words sung) are going. Perhaps I have discovered a way to enjoy modern rock and heavy rock without losing my soul and aspirations to bad messages. That or I am just so mentally messed up that I am completely overlooking the contempt and apprehension to the point of total and complete ignorance. By conclusion, I dont think that ignorance should be required to enjoy something. Nor do I like needing to come up with complex methods and angles for the purpose of the like. My dream is a sound. A sound that pleases me to every extent of my liking without sacrifice. The sacrifice being undesired filters to sensor aspects of the sound, as this would defeat the whole point of music.
