Gov. Almakura Visits Keffi Barracks. His Excellency Umaru Tanko Almakura has commended the Nigerian Army for the efforts they have been rendering at keeping the peace in Nasarawa State. Gov. Almakura gave the commendation during a visit to Shitu Alao Barracks Keffi home of the 177 Guards Brigade ( Second to None) , where he was received by Lt. Ibrahim Musa( wearing dark blue kaftan) He commended their efforts and sacrifices the military had made at ensuring peace and enforcing the laws of the land. After a detailed tour of the barracks he gave the state governments assurances towards ensuring that the roads and buildings in the barracks would be reconstructed and rehabilitated, as well as look into how the welfare of the troops in Nasarawa state could be upgraded. Lastly, he congratulated Lt. Ibrahim who on 16th August had marked 5 years on his current rank. The governor was accompanied by the SSG Haj. Zainab Abdulmumini, the Special Adviser Special Duties Barr. Mohammed Abdullahi and other aides. Earlier, Lt. Ibrahim thanked the state government for the assistance provided to the men of the Nigerian Military in the state , which included detailed maps of the state provided by the Nasarawa Geographic Information Service ( NAGIS ). He assured the government that they would always be ready to tackle anything or anyone that disturbs the peace enjoyed in the state, and puts citizens lives at risk.
