Gov Kayode Fayemi to host this year’s Ekiti-Parapo The Executive Governor of Ekiti state, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has been selected as the host for this year’s edition of Ekiti- Parapo scheduled to hold on Saturday, 9th of November. Ekiti- Parapo Lagos is a non political association of all Ekiti sons and daughters residing in Lagos. The association whose objective is to promote and facilitate the economic and social-cultural development of Ekiti state, is organizing a celebration aimed at raising funds to complete their project of installing a cassava processing machinery in Ekiti state. This year’s edition also intends to honour distinguished Ekiti sons and daughters who have done something spectacular towards the development of the state. Speaking at the event in Lagos, the president of the association, Chief Kola Akomolede, said the award is intended to honour Ekiti sons and daughters who have done something spectacular in their fields. This is a yearly event aimed at raising funds for the development of the state. The idea of the award is to let people see those who has done something to encourage others. The state Gov, Kayode Fayemi, will be the chief host for this year’s edition,” he said. Among the people to be honoured this year are: Otunba Kunle Olasope, Chief Deji Fasuan, Chief Sam Bolarinde, among others. Among the dignitaries to grace the event are, the former Vice President, Atiku Abubaklar, Aremo Olusegun Osoba and Chief Alex Duduyemi among others.
