Gov. Walker, the distraction is you saying its a distraction and - TopicsExpress

Gov. Walker, the distraction is you saying its a distraction and not saying clearly where you stand. Maybe hell make up his mind on the casino at the same time he makes up his mind on right-to-work. I hope Wisconsin doesnt hire a bunch of Michigan lawyers and pay them gazillions to help the governor make his mind up on right-to-work too. This is becoming a pattern. Remember the dodging of questions on gay marriage? (Although, honestly, I think its obvious hes going to rule against the casino and NOT veto right-to-work. When it comes to the latter, I think the strategy is to have the Legislature take the arrows so as to not bog Walker down in Act 10 like controversy as he runs for president. I just wish he had the guts to say it. What happened to Mr. Unintimidated of the Unions?? And, by the way, the issues are connected - the casino jobs would be unionized.) #wipolitics. Maybe he should read some Machiavelli: All courses of action are risky, so prudence is not in avoiding danger (its impossible), but calculating risk and acting decisively. Make mistakes of ambition and not mistakes of sloth. Develop the strength to do bold things, not the strength to suffer.” Instead we get this: Asked about his past support for such a measure, Walker said: I didnt say Id flipped on it. I just said I thought it was a distraction. Democrats have said Walker should say he would veto a bill to end debate on the issue and prevent the kind of distraction he has said he wants to avoid. Walker said he typically does not signal whether he would sign or veto bill. So far, the issue has not become a distraction, he contended. So, he doesnt want to say he supports it because its a distraction but its not yet a distraction so he wont say whether he supports it. Um, OK. jsonline/news/statepolitics/walker-says-right-to-work-bill-would-be-a-distraction-b99403657z1-284897331.html
