Government officials of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, the Turks and Caicos Islands and the Republic of Haiti have come together at the Melia Nassau Beach Hotel in a trilateral meeting to discuss matters involving trade, immigration and the improvement of the agricultural sectors. During the trilateral meeting, The Bahamas and Haiti have signed four Agreements pertaining to trade, cooperation, and migration. “Through the Framework Agreement for Bilateral Cooperation; the Agreement on Trade and Technical Cooperation in Agriculture and Fisheries; the Agreement on the Promotion and Protection of Investments; and the Joint Project Cooperation Agreement between the National Port Authority of Haiti and the Port Authority of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, The Bahamas hopes to strengthen our relationship with the Republic of Haiti,” said Prime Minister Christie.
