Governor Maggie Hassan today announced the departure of Legal Counsel Lucy C. Hodder of Hopkinton, who will be leaving the Governor’s Office to become the Director of Health Law and Policy Programs and Professor of Law at the University of New Hampshire (UNH). Hodder agreed to stay with the Governor’s Office through Governor Hassan’s budget proposal. “Lucy Hodder is a dedicated advocate for the people of New Hampshire, and I am incredibly lucky to have had her serve as my legal counsel for the past two years,” Governor Hassan said. “Her talent and expertise in health law were critical to the passage and implementation of our historic, bipartisan health care expansion plan, and the University of New Hampshire could not have picked a better person to develop its health law and policy program at the law school. Lucys efforts will have a long-lasting positive impact on the health and well-being of Granite Staters, and I cannot thank her enough for everything that she has done for the people of New Hampshire throughout her career.” “We will deeply miss Lucy in the Governor’s Office,” Governor Hassan said.
