Governor Rizik Disbands Cabinet The Governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal State (WBGS) Rizik Zackaria Hussen on Thursday relieved his deputy Morris Yel Akol-tid and the ten state ministers of their duties. 30 August 2013 Wau [Gurtong] – “In the exercise conferred upon me under chapter (II) and with reference to the provisional of article 99 (1) of the transitional constitution of Western Bahr el Ghazal state 2011, I Brigadier General Rizik Zackaria Hussen, Governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal State, do hereby decree the relief of Hon. Morris Yel Akol-tid, Deputy Governor and Minister of Physical Infrastructure from his position with effect from 27 August 2013,” the decree partly read. “I thank him (Yel) for his commendable services deliver to the people of Western Bahr el Ghazal state,” it added. The relieved members of the state cabinet are Yel, Brigadier Angelo Taban Biajo, the former state Minister of Local Government and Law Enforcement, Juliet Raphael Makel, the former state Minister of Finance Trade and Industry and Adil Athanasio Suru, the former state Minister of Education and Instruction. The governor also swiftly appointed a new cabinet with Isaac Clerto Hassan regaining the Ministry of Health and Zackaria Joseph Garang becomes the new State Minister of Cooperatives and Rural Transformation. The new faces in the cabinet are Arkangelo Anyar Anyar who is the Minister of Youth and Sports, Derik Alfred Uya, Minister of Information and Technology, Lilian Valentino Rizik, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Irrigation, Peter Upio, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Rughaia Madut Ujuok Minister of Public Service. On Wednesday, Rizik relived seven advisers and announced new changes in state cabinet instantly.
