Gov’t encourages Filipino youth to be ‘technopreneurs’ Legazpi city, Albay--In a technical forum during the recently concluded2013 Regional Invention Contest and Exhibits for theNational Capital Region (NCR), the Department ofScience and Technology, through its TechnologyApplication and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI),revealed a project that will assist students, youngprofessionals, and out-of-school youths who plan to putup technology-based enterprises. Dubbed as DOSTAcademe Technology-Based Enterprise Development(DATBED), the program enables these youngentrepreneurs to start up a business venture with thehelp of DOST-TAPI’s schools or non-governmentorganization (NGO).
