Gracie had some visitors today. Thank you Rebecca and Kaitlyn for stopping by, Grandma Ruby, and my long time friend Amy. Gracie wasnt sociable, but I know once she starts feeling better she will be talking about you all coming to visit and the gifts. Gracie also had a special gift of stuffed animals, balloons, and candies delivered from Aunt Rachel. Thank you to you all it is so appreciative having her room fill up with balloons, flowers, and candy bouquets. Amy I will be putting her princess tiara on her for New Years:) Gracie did great over night having output, then she stopped today. I asked for her to have an X-ray just to see how much impaction she still has, the doctors didnt feel comfortable to expose her to the radiation, when we know she will have to have one when they feel she is cleaned out. She has been feeling pretty sick, she just lays there, wont talk or even show any kind of expression. I did have them give her more Zolfran which I think will help some. They turned off her golytely for two hours to start giving her pedialyte through her NG tube since we cant get her to drink, thankfully she dont have to have an IV. I did do her flush at 4 today, first time she hadnt had one done since Sunday evening. She did not have any pain with the saline going in, so this is good news, and it did make her have some more output, very good news on this. The nurse said the team of doctors said if Gracie can have one more output like she did with the flush then they will do the X-ray to see if the impaction is cleared. Truly hoping I will be able to bring her home tomorrow. Wishing you all a safe and Happy New Year!
